Why People Hate Me More Than Chris Brown – Wendy Williams tells Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow still can’t get over the fact that she was named ‘most hated celebrity’ three years ago.
She’s used to winning awards for being the ‘sexiest actress’ or person of the year, so to have a mean one was a total surprise, especially when there were more deserving winners.
Speaking to BBC New’s HardTalk recently, Gwyneth showed that it still played on her mind. “First of all, I was like, ‘I’m the most hated celebrity? More than, like, Chris Brown?’ What did I do?

“I see where you are coming from, but maybe you just make people feel bad sometimes. All I can do is be my authentic self, and if you know me, then you know who I am, and that I have fun and eat and am so appreciative for my life. But I think there are things about me that make people draw conclusions.”
Speaking on her show, Wendy Williams tried to break it down for the Iron Man actress. “She doesn’t understand why people hate her more than Chris Brown. I’m going to tell you why Gwyneth, first of all your name is Gwyneth,” Wendy said.
“But you know that your name has an air of uppity to it. Just like Claire. Or Sinclair. There are certain names that have that air of ‘I’m better than you’. Not that you live that way, but since we don’t know you Gwyneth, in my mind, yup – she’s a Gwyneth.”
Wendy hit back at the Oscar-winning star’s claims that she wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth, as she said: “It might not have been silver but it was certainly more polished than most of us.”
The chat show host pointed out that her parents were Hollywood stars and that she graduated from a private high school in New York, which cost around $52,000 a year.
Wendy claimed that she had several members of her team who could verify that Gwyneth was a pleasure to work with, but the chat show host sharpened her talons as she said: “It just doesn’t come off so nice when you teach us how to make $300 grilled cheese sandwiches.”
Citing her lifestyle website Goop, Wendy referred to a $250 smoothie that was recommended and a super-expensive toothpaste squeezer.
“You appear to be uppity and better than us, and maybe that’s why people don’t like you,” she said.
