APC to beg Ribadu for help on war against corruption

The All Progressives Congress has revealed that efforts are being made to return former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to the ranks of the ruling party to assist in the war against corruption.
This was made known by the National President of the APC National Coalition for Peace and Mobilisation, Ahmed Saleh during the group’s National Executive Council meeting held at the APC Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja on Tuesday.
Saleh explained that the reason the party was reaching out to Ribadu to return is in line with a directive from the leadership of the party to consult and sensitise members and non-members alike in a bid to restore unity to the ranks and file of the party.
“With the agenda of this government to ensuring probity, fighting corruption and ensuring that all those that feast on our commonwealth are made to return it, we feel that people like Mallam Nuhu Ribadu are needed.”
“It is not far-fetched that with his experience and integrity as an incorruptible anti-corruption czar with global connections, his experience will be of much value to this government that has war against corruption as its prime goal.”
“We feel there are resourceful and sincere individuals that are with us in this struggle that we should work in getting back to our fold.”
Saleh further explained that the group intends to reach out to some people who dumped the party in anger or were misled into dumping the party before the 2015 general elections.
