This summer’s first permanent Chelsea transfer is confirmed as giant striker moves on

June is nearly over, but Chelsea are still yet to sign any new players this summer.

However, the Blues have got rid of a few.

Before today, Marco Amelia, Kevin Wright and Tika Musonda had all been released, while loan moves for Nathan, Joao Rodriguez, Charly Musonda, Mitchell Beeney and Lewis Baker had also been sanctioned.

There had been no permanent Chelsea transfer though, until this afternoon when the club confirmed on their official website that an agreement to sell 20-year-old striker Stipe Perica to Udinese had been finalised.

Giant Croatian Perica, who is 6″ 4′ tall, spent last season on loan at Udinese, as well as the second half of the 2014-15 campaign.

During his loan spells with Udinese, Perica scored four goals in 22 appearances.

Perica never played a senior game for Chelsea. In fact, he barely even trained with the Blues because he was sent out on loan to NAC Breda for 18 months shortly after signing for the London club in 2013.

Udinese’s new signing has yet to play for Croatia at senior international level, but he was prolific at U21 level, scoring four goals in seven outings
