Drake disses Meek Mill in his hometown of Philadelphia

  • Drake has reignited the beef with Meek Mill after dissing the rapper in his hometown of Philadelphia.

Drake was performing in Philadelphia on Sunday night when he started a series of insults aimed at Meek Mill. The two hip-hop stars were embroiled in a public dispute after Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter to pen his lyrics. The pair later exchanged a series of diss tracks back and forth, the aforementioned 'Back To Back' being one of them.

During the performance on Sunday night, Drake added the lines "I did another one/ I even did this s--t in Philly, man, I'll never run," to the Mill diss track 'Back to Back'.

According to Billboard, he continued to say, ""Just remember when you watch that video over and over tonight, it's not about your city. I love your city. You did that s--t to your motherf---in' self, boy."

Drake also questioned Meek's Philadelphia heritage during 'Still Here,' changing the lyrics to "you not really from Philly and they can tell."

According to Uproxx, Mill responded in a since-deleted Instagram post, claiming Drake had "Philadelphia SWAT" with him backstage when Meek's entourage tried to confront him backstage. "When u run out the back door wit 12 and use the 'old man' 2 save you! I'm done,'" Meet reportedly wrote. "You had Philadelphia swat with you. Ima go head hang up it with these suckas! Had ya'll tucked in back there for hrs lol."
