  Former BBC DJ Chris Denning has pleaded guilty to 21 child sex offences that were committed between 1969 and 1986.
  
  The 75-year-old is already serving a 13-year sentence for another 24 sexual assaults on victims aged nine to 16, which took place between the 1960s and 1980s.
  
  Denning, who was part of the original line-up of DJs that launched Radio 1 in 1967, admitted the abuse of 11 boys, aged eight and upwards.
  
  He was arrested as part of a police inquiry into the Walton Hop Disco, a teen-oriented event in the Surrey town of Walton-On-Thames held between 1958 and 2001, as the BBC reports.
  
  The offences he is charged with include indecent assault on men and boys, and inciting boys aged below 16 and 14 to commit acts of gross indecency.
  
  Detective Chief Inspector Jo Hayes of Surrey Police said: "Denning, who was looked up to and sometimes idolised by many young people, has used his status to prey on innocent children which he has now admitted to."
  
  He denied three other counts of indecent assault. Denning will be sentenced on October 6 at Southwark Crown Court by the same judge who jailed him in 2014.
