Coming in at number five is the Christ the King College in Onitsha, known to many as CKC Onitsha. It is a secondary school for boys that, at one point, was the best school in Nigeria. CKC Onitsha was founded in 1933 by a group of Irish missionaries led by Archbishop Charles Heerey.

Second place on our list goes to the famous Kings’ College. It is one of the oldest secondary institutions in Nigeria, being founded all the way back in 1909. When it first opened, it had only ten students, and the school building was located near Tafawa Balewa Square. It is a boys-only school, but girls have been also allowed there before the creation of Queen’s College.
The school has four houses that are named after past principals (Nigerian Hogwarts, anyone?). The Hyde-Johnson’s House has red as its primary colour; Panes’ House has blue; Mckee-Wright’s Hose has yellow; and Harman’s House has green.
